In the meantime i'm going to get some big brakes and supa-light wheels with weld-on spacers after I tune the VATS out...
That car's too heavy for 8s, if I were still running Carbotechs I'd probably be on 12s. I do remember the 10s had better resolution, but the ST43 and DTC60 require less pedal effort to get the car whoad down and inspire more confidence in me at the end of a long straight. If my setup changes don't pan out, I think I'll just buy a 3rd gen and LS swap it instead.

MSRH was great, MSRC was good except when coming out of Wagon Wheel (at track out) it didn’t always want to go into third. When it happened, it was always at the same spot on track. TWS, it won’t go into fifth (first time to try it), same third gear issue coming out of carousel. Hallett, third gear issue coming out of T6. Road Atlanta, no third gear issues, no fifth. I’ve tried several different length throwout bearings, no change. A guy from Tremec is going to see if there is anything wrong internally.
Wow, does that sound familiar - though we were running a 5 speed (T3650). We did have syncro issues at first, but after that rebuild the problem came back.
At Dave G's recommendation we put a separate reservoir on for the slave and no problems after that. The S197 (at least the 2005) shares fluid between the slave cylinder and the brake hydraulics - we were running high temps on brake fluid and screwing the transmission.

You calling me fat? See, maybe that's why I got passed by a rookie. Maybe I'll break out of my shell and try something different... but probably not.
