    I got tired of dealing with the hassle/expense of registering and inspecting the trailer every year, so I sent a copy of the title off to a company in Maine. Got a 5-year registration and plate (or was it 10? can't remember).

    Haven't been harrassed by LEOs, no annual inspections/registrations...

    I didnt even know trailers were supposed to get inspected until James got busted. What a waste of time and money.

    HA! My MI trailer plates are permanent, one and done. FYI if you guys have friends or relatives there.

    Yes, but have you been pulled over with the trailer and had to explain why you have a Maine trailer when everything else is in Texas?
