Pretty cool old car. I am not sure if I mentioned it on here, but I drug home yet another Triumph TR7 (third one I currently own), but this one has a John's cars Buick V6 conversion and a Holley fuel injection system. Doesn't run though and so far has been a nightmare tracking down the wiring issues.

Not today, but recently decided to do some more deghettofication. Exhaust manifold fastener mess to the heads.

    Y-pipe to manifolds.

Plugged the last open hole on the new manifolds, ready for install with intact studs.

Patched/rerouted smashed crossover section of y-pipe to a more CMC friendly location.

New AC Delco/Delphi coil, ICM, and knock sensor all correct for a 93 also installed. Hoping for a better dyno pull this year. No pics of the wiring, but I tidied/rerouted that under the hood as well. Shit was a hot mess just like all the other wiring I've redone. Nothing functionally awry this time though, so no free power hidden there.

We really need to enable picture embedding.

Do a disc brake upgrade on all 4 corners and a nice low cost set of 17 or 18 inch wheels along with a 4.8 LS and 4L60 swap (the 4.8 cause they are dirt cheap) and drive the piss out of it. No A/C needed. Summer nights and spring/fall weekend driver.
With Glenn 100%, 4 wheel discs are a must, adios the single master cylinder. Classic performance products sells a corvette style small bore master cylinder that has good feel without a booster. I lost my first 55 truck to brake failure and I built another years later with Trans Am front clip and LT1/auto from a Z28. That was way too much motor for it but it was an easy swap. All the computer needed to work was a bunch of fused power inputs, I tied into the factory engine/pcu harness. There lots of kits out there now for these cars. Power rack and pinion, good brakes, swaybar, fuel injected motor and you will love it, and your wife will be able to drive it.

It's going to go back all original. I don't like the restomod stuff. All of Dad's cars are period correct, down to the cloth wire covering, for example, on the '42.

I'll figure out today if the engine still turns over.

Cool family project Marshall. It makes me want to dig out the family Chevelle heirloom and do about what Glenn is describing.

This ain't my first Lucas nightmare rodeo... This is actually my 5th TR7, so I should kick myself for this crazy addiction to these cars.

    Let the Lucas jokes fly.

The Lucas motto: "Get home before dark."

Why do the English drink warm beer? Lucas made the refrigerators, too.

Lucas--inventor of the first intermittent wiper.

    Lucas--inventor of the self-dimming headlamp.

The three-position Lucas switch--DIM, FLICKER and OFF.

The other three switch settings--SMOKE, SMOLDER and IGNITE.

The original anti-theft devices--Lucas Electric products.

Back in the '70s Lucas decided to diversify its product line and began manufacturing vacuum cleaners. It was the only product they offered which didn't suck.

Pretty sure your Dad would dis-own you if you did anything else. His work is second to none; I'm always in awe when I see any of his work at the shop.
