    MM&FF - National Magazine Coverage

For those that have not seen, Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords magazine has been running a 6 month series on a CMC build. Matt King has been writing the story and showing how he built Mike Bell's old car from shell to a Nationals podium finisher.

The May 2009 issue was in my mailbox today and Matt did a great job of capping off his story in a professional manner. The article is titled "Go RoadRacing for $10k or less". Detailed his Nationals efforts. Good for the sport and good for the series.

Great pic of Glenn's championship car in the lead on page 147.

No drama...just great articles and CMC exposure.

PS- I can scan the articles and post them in my free time if folks want.

Matt - any chancei could get send a coulpe free copies?
pm me for my address if so.

also - you guys have any plans to make the Hallett, OK Texas/Rocky Mtn crossover event? its shaping up to be a really big event. possibly the largest event NASA Texas has ever held. we have already had our largest AI/CMC field to date just last event (MSR-C Round 2) w/ 25 cars.

Sorry, I don't have any spare copies. In fact I haven't even seen that issue myself, but I assume based on this thread it's out on newsstands. Magazines these days can use all the newstand sales they can get, so do your part for economic stimulus!

I won't be attending Hallet or likely any NASA events this year, but I can't speak for the rest of the Midwest guys.

    Your wish is my command.
(As long as your name isn't "Mitch".)

Remember, this is the final issue of a 6 part series. I'm ruining the whole story by giving you guys the ending!!! Obtain the MMFF back issues (or bribe me with Shiner Bock) in order to see the other issues.

As they say in Beaumont..."Go Git Ya Sum"!

Now...after reading all 6 stories of the build up article from roller chassis to a Nationals podium, you guys better all start makin' plans for the NASA Nationals in Utah come September because our Texas AI/CMC racers all deserve podium spots as far as I can see!!! We've got a CMC National Trophy to defend and an AI National Trophy to go after. Those that have been there all know that it's very possible. Matt King made a championship podium reality and so can you!!!
