    Mitch,
I'm planning on using approx 20' of .095 for this project, so I'm looking at 35lbs that I won't have to ballast. Since I was already on the line of not being able to add any ballast, that will be good insurance just incase the motor loosens up some more.

    Yikes!

2980 is my post-race weight with 225lb driver, 7-8 gals of fuel, and 55lbs of lead. Should be about 2650 dry on fuel. Only composite is the fiberglass hood. PM me if you need info and we'll talk.

ROFLMAO!!!! last time I rolled off post race I was 3380, 175lb driver, 4 gal of fuel left and, of course, no balast, no cool suit... no big deal, tho... I've decided to go the other direction and run 380hp to the rw and upgrade the brakes... I'm just lazy...

    Marshall,

You may want to try Samuel and Reliance against Jorgensen's prices. I sent Michael and MFW to one of those for the Lemons car and they got a great deal. Call me if you need contact info.

phhhfffttt...i was 3500# post race with almost no fuel and a fat-ass driver (oh ...that last part was not flattering was it ??)
If I visit MFW's House of Weight Loss I can drop #200 from the car at least

I'm lazy too...gonna visit MFW's House of Weight loss before too long...can you imagine how well my car will perform 200# lighter ?

Nothing like taking a car that is already too light and pulling more metal from the inside. Hey, that OEM horn bracket that isn't used weighs something, right??

    16 ounces in a pound.

Gas door assembly = 3 lbs
Gas door with 2 small AL brackets = <1lb

    "But that's rear weight..."
-Yeah, I'm moving it from the left to right side though...

    It's a sickness.
