What does it take to get an 'official' regional exemption so everyone is on the same page?

I need new tires anyways and will hopefully be on RA1's, but have no issue with anyone running R888's anytime next year.

Since the consensus is they are inferior, why are they not allowed until they run out? Could be bargain rains if there's still inventory and dealers are itchin to ditchem.

Mine are almost new. I would like to keep them as rains for a few seasons. Rains only.

Ideally, my thought is yes, you should be able to use up the tires you have in those first 3 weekends. In reality tho, we have some guys that only make 3 weekends for the entire season and if those weekends happen to be the 2nd, 4th and 6th weekends, I wouldn't want them to be 'punished'.
