Sweet.... I figured you would move to a LS1.

Are you ready for Nats? We are pulling for you!

    #82a Update:

According to the Chad & Rick and their OBD reader the motor is fit to fight. I recomend them, they are racers and good guys at http://www.colonyoneauto.com/
Next step is a pull on the dyno at http://www.houstonperformance.com/ (more good guys)

    #82 Orange Thing Update:
I welded up the chassis which had broken due to brake hop at Hallett, finally welded in a correct roll cage doubler plate (happy now Glenn?), replaced the shock rod mounts so we now have dampening and corrected the 3/4" toe in. Should be ready for Nationals.

This year at Nationals (unlike last year) we hope to: not hit the wall, not destroy a throw out bearing, not destroy a front spindle, not fog up to zero visablity, not have to pump the brakes. Report to follow.

Good luck at Nats! Bring the trophy back to its home.

What needed to be welded up on the chassis that broke due to wheel hop? I wish I could get rid of my torque arm that almost kept me from racing at Hallett and go to a 3 link.

Don't let the battery go dead or cut power to the PCM.

No matter wher you go there is a smart-ass in the crowd.

    Good luck Dan!

Dyno says: 166 -170 HP w/o restrictor. So that is no longer a busted, worn out street motor, it is a RACECAR MOTOR.

Bryan: the crack was in the sheet metal near the 2 left bolts which hold the rear tranny mount to the chassis.

    You mean 266-270, right?

Those cracks are common. I've welded up a few that were like that.

    Yes 270
