Ouch. Here's Paul Dallenbach's run. Probably the shortest run of the year.

I saw both of these the other day. I love the Pikes Peak run...although now that it is all paved I am little less interested.

    Crazy crashes....

Some of the luster is definitely gone since its all paved. I saw some old pics of Bobby Unser drifting around on the dirt just inches from going over back when it was all dirt.

The bad thing is that "big" name drivers cant run this anymore due to contracts. I miss the days when drivers could run all different kinds of cars.

I recently discovered the co-driver is a buddy of mine! I instructed him at TWS a couple years ago and we chat from time to time on FB or at the track... I saw something on his wall about being on the today show and put it together. Absolutely nuts.

I told him to find the cage builder and give him a kiss.

    He survived didn't he!?

We hadn't made it to the "if your navigating and your driver takes you off a cliff" part. I'll make sure to prioritize that now..

Edit: appears Darcie is still signed in. This is Sam.

And the driver is a TTer. Dunno if I should admit that one or not...

Cool to see them out doing a big variety of stuff though. Hopefully they'll bring out a new car at EC later this year
