I will let you all know what she says if she responds.

Good idea... It sure would be nice to have another option.

    Rates I saw were:
    $300 day
    $200 half day

I'd be in for a $75 happy hour (preferably much less, $25-50 would be better) as I could stand to heat cycle a set of tires and bed some brakes in while getting a feel for the track rythm.

Just got an email that you can register for half day price and the whole day is included. Still $200 though.

Kelly ignored my e-mail and sent me the same thing as you got. I told her I did not think she was going to have many takers at $300.00 per day and we would really like a happy hour and that we would pay $50.00 to $75.00 for that hour. No response. So $200.00 for all day. Jay and I usually split a half day and it's more time than we really need and that is with two drivers. It cost you $30.00 per night to camp ($40.00 with 50 amp power) so I'm looking at $150.00 for the camping from Thursday night through Sunday night, $200.00 to practice, $300.00 to race (the best deal of all of it), and $550.00 to $650.00 for RV fuel to get there and back. $1200.00 to $1300.00 to race at NOLA not including tire money. May have to reconsider for next year. Hallett charges me $50.00 for power for the whole three or four days. That is a little low but full hook-ups at an RV park are usually around $35.00 a night. This is $40.00 for just power. Hell, it's only money.

I got a reply back on Happy Hour. Don't hold your breath.

The tone wasn't quite to where I don't think we could talk them into it, but sure seems like a longshot. Oh well, $50-$75 back into my pocket and I'll just heat cycle my Hoosiers with my street MR2 down Allen Parkway #imgoingtogetaticketarentioffcer?

    Ken,
From what you say it sounds like they think they are giving us a hell of a deal at $200.00 for all day and we are ungrateful for expecting anything else.........maybe we are?

My plan is to arrive Thursday night also. I want to make a trip down to Cafe' Du Monde for breakfast too.

I have a hard time dialing in on if we get spolied by TWS, MSR's, etc or if they're smart and know the markets better than other tracks. 3 options to meet your customer's needs and separate them from the applicable amount of money seems better than 2 to me and that's from both a business standpoint and a customer standpoint... shrug. Is what it is like you said.

They know demand is high since it is a new track to 99% of folks. It's a sellers market.
