On another note, hotels seem to be $300+ a night as SMU is in town so I'll be sleeping in the Excursion. Gotta believe it gets pretty lively evenings at the track!

Try some travel sites - several have snapped up ~$150 night rooms in CS pretty recently. Still inflated, but only by $60-80 instead of 2x-3x

I don't know if they have any left available but the track rents travel trailers. My brother stayed in one last year and said it was nicer then he expected.

Quality inn off hwy 6. $110 if you say you are racing and that the TWS site has them as a discounted hotel.

they were booked solid with a decently long waiting list when I called 2-3 weeks ago. Took several tries to get ahold of someone too :-/
