How does the manual timing work?

I did have an issue at some point during the event where my transponder lost power, it was intermittent at first then permanent when the wire finally broke lose. Can't recall if it happened before/during race 2. After total loss I went and got a loaner.

Cheryl pushes a button on the timing computer everytime she sees you.

Cheryl likes to push buttons.

Cheryl is a busy girl up there and the button pushing is not always accurate...

Cheryl pushes my buttons about lap records every weekend...

Cheryl will be getting a print out of the lap record list to update her computer so she can stop pushing my buttons.

(Note: the T/S computer update from Orbitz 4 to Orbitz 5 last year erased or failed to transfer some of the lap records).
