Damn I am off quite a bit at Hallett. I blame the equipment.

Pretty serious battle for the win in CMC at Hallett today. Congratulations to Michael Mosty for beating Tyler's track record in a string of three 1:26's in a row trying to hold off Josh. Also congratulations to Kevin Jander for dropping below the track record in his third place finish. Unfortunately, not only did Josh get by Michael on the last corner of the last lap for the win, he posted four laps under the track record chasing Michael down with his best coming in at a 1:26.496 for the new record. Spectacular stuff Josh!

The track record in AI was beaten by two different people in different races but I'm not sure what what will be ruled official. We will let the directors work that out...

    In American Iron news...

The black AI S550 car (#51) of Justin Kelly was disqualified in both races due to noncompliance to AI rules for rear track-width. So, his laptimes will not count towards the lap records.

Congrats to Cody Powell for not only a commanding appearance to win the “Summer Shoptout”, but also taking the AI track record for CCW with a 1:22.891 in the championship race!!

    Well done guys!!

Great racing, congrats to Josh for that last turn win, it was awesome to watch! Craig and Justin's race was intense, I'm sure Craig was exhausted after that much defense wow!

    I think Michael took my record R1 of 2017 with a blistering 1:26.3. :-O

Looks like Michael still has the record. I wish there was a better way to keep track of this stuff. I wonder what other records are wrong...

Anyway, next up is Texas Motor Speedway. Fastest race lap for the weekend in each class gets the track record, even if it rains the whole time...

So TMS happened. Since we haven't been there before, fastest laps for the weekend got the track record. After a bad Saturday, Josh Sooknanan gathered himself up and won both Sunday CMC races, setting a fast time of 1:33.690 in the process. In AI, Russel Lane posted a fast time of 1:32.887 in the second race Sunday morning.
