Glenn was mentioning that a few people have had issues breaking the axle flanges on the rear axles, I am about to order a set of axles and I am wondering what brand/etc I need to stay away from.

I've been off more than most...Moser. No issues.

I had mosers a number of years back. pulled them out for a diff reason and found that the bearing surface was heavily pitted. They didn't have more than a year or so on them. New Timken bearings at the time too. There seemed to be a rash of similar issues at the time, but personally I wouldn't recommend moser due to difficulty dealing w/ them then and my belief the issue was w/ the axles.
ended up w/ superior axles, which were a tad heavier but have been great for a long time. same bearing (brand), same seals, same fluid, no issues. however, i was reading some chatter a while back on the status of that company, which wasn't looking good...

Dust Collector
Mike just broke a Superior axle at the flange.
I thought Yukon was the way to go nowadays?
The Superior axles were only in my car for less than 3 seasons. The broken flange was likely related to the poor quality of the weld. I just replaced both axles with Yukon.
Factory!
Ah, fugg it.
I've run Superior Axles since 2006 with no issues.
