F-body driveshaft
My search for new driveshaft for Orange has me confused. The shaft that twisted was the one that came with the car. It was aluminum and it had stickers on it that made it seem stock. The driveshaft that came on the car that we are building to replace Orange is steel.
What driveshaft should we be getting for a CMC car? When I look up the application, I'm finding several different u-joint sizes.
Any help is appreciated.

All 6 speed cars got aluminum. Some auto cars got aluminum if they got the 3.23 rear gears.
I didn't know there was different u joints.

If you are looking to have one made, Contact Driveshaft Specialists in San Antonio and ask for Brent. Tell him Misty and Matt sent you. The Owner is a PDS instructor and builds some of the nicest driveshafts you will ever find. They really know their stuff. He has built 3 for us and will be making one for the new camaro combo and may be experimenting with a new one piece shaft for Misty's cayenne.
Also for any other AI/CMC folks looking for a DS...

You should be able to find one on craigslist or LS1Tech (Texas Classifieds) for $75 - $100. Stock F-body aluminum (or AL-U-MIN-I-UM for Craig) for a 4th Gen.
Example: http://ls1tech.com/forums/florida-cl...ive-shaft.html Florida $75

Cedar Park - $60
