I ran my CMC 5.0 with the stock oil pan for five racing seasons. Oil pressure would drop in the turns so I added an extra quart of oil and ran 6 qts instead of 5. It worked like a charm, the engine was perfect when pulled apart after the car was wrecked. The engine started life as a 178,000 mile Mark VII engine that received a bearing cleanup and hone before assembly into the race car. Add a qt and run the stock pan.

Camaro, Mustang, doesn't matter to me, I'll race it.
