Does this clip belong inside an LT1?

Found this random ass clip just laying up in the valley, never knew such a thing could exist in an LT1/SBC?

Must be the reason the car dyno'd like shit. Or maybe I just toss it back in for good luck? It could belong on the outside and it carelessly found its way inside like so much other carelessness I've found, i.e. an improperly clocked JB Welded oil pump pickup tube that I effortlessly twisted off by hand.

That looks sort of like the clip holding the fuel injectors in place. Either way.. I don't think it came from the inside of the engine.

I should have measured, it's way bigger than a fuel injector.

That's not an engine part at all. Its a rocker stopper, used to plug the oil hole on the rocker arm so you can adjust preload with the valve cover off and engine running

Wow, just wow. I mean he used those things and still fucked up the valve lash? Thanks, at least now I know what it is and it somewhat makes sense for being in there.
