Unless I missed it there are no CMC, AI or AIX champions in this race. Why not?

Not supported series by a manufacturer. Just old beat up mullet mobiles.

Ya I think they are just using beat to crap skip barber miatas. Plus from what I understood you still have to pay $1500 to run plus travel, wreck damage etc. I wish NASA had left the championship format alone. This east west thing just takes away the allure/prestige of it.

So SI is not part of the family? Kind of harsh.

Nobody said SI wasn't a part of the family. They said why isn't CMC, AI, AIX represented? Are they not a part of the family? Also, my understanding is that Ford has pulled out as a sponsor for SI. Is that correct? I am curious if they are sponsor for AI? From my point of view it seems AI is simply built around the Mustang. Began with the BOSS and now the 2015 possibly? If all of the sudden they allow the IRS in the mustang but wouldn't allow it for the 5th Gen Camaro? Do they allow them now?

    Either way-GOOD LUCK COREY!

As for the east coast AI Champ, I believe he refused to go after the Sebring thing fell through...more of a melt down actually.
East coast AIX champ (Griswold?) could probably care less to go as he is a NASA big wig. Was there a CMC east coast champ? Not sure about West coast but you would think those folks would jump at the chance with so little travel involved....?

NASA should probably abandon the East/West thing and just concentrate on one central event. With COTA right in the middle of the US of A....seems like a no brainer.
    Ah, fugg it.

DING DING DING. I would be all over it if it were at COTA and I know people would pay a higher entry fee to go there too and come from all over the country.
