Are these needed to actually drive on, or just fitment? We have a few used up tires at the shop that you could have for the cost of shipping plus the equivalent of a six-pack of beer...

Marshall, I'm looking for a set for track use. I have a set with 2 1/2 weekends on them but unfortunately flat-spotted 2 of them, one to the cords (high speed turn 1 at Road America). I plan to have a new set for the Sep race at Autobahn, but would like to do a track day 8/24 at Autobahn in preparation for the Sep event. I would rather not run the new set for the track day practice.
