Since I started carrying a welding rig with me to the track I have noticed a disturbing trend. I have welded many of the Mustangs but only a couple of Camaros. I don't have an explanation for why the 'stangs seem to suffer a disproportionate number of structural failures. But I recommend the Mustang upgrade shown below:

Note the oxygen cylinder mounted through the rear fire wall to help lower the center of gravity. The acetylene cylinder must remain vertical for safety reasons. The bucket makes a handy tool box while the trunk hinges provide a convenient way to secure both gas cylinders.
With this upgrade Mustang drivers will always have a welding rig nearby to handle those pesky track side repairs.
