My uncle has a 2011 Ford F-150 platinum that has the Ecoboost motor in it. It has 149k on the clock and came down with a case of the check engine light. Codes P0022, P0012. The dealer is saying that it is a VCT solenoid buried in the motor somewhere. He is recommending a new motor at the tune of 13k bucks. (because of timing chain wear and possible cam wear they are recommending new motor. He went and bought a new truck. The truck still runs fine but he is willing to let it go for cheap. He's asking 9K. He always buys the top of the line every bell and whistle you can get. Who's interested?
