Brake line failures

So this year I know that Craig and Mason have both had brake line failures. I think Craig's was due to a broken zip tie that was keep the line off of something, Mason's happened right at the fitting. I was curious as to how long you guys are running stainless lines before replacing them, 5 years?

I think I had about 4-5 seasons on the first set of fronts when I changed them. I am about there again and will go a little longer in length next time around. I should probably look closely at the line from the body to the diff as much as I'm off track.

I run factory fitment braided hoses on the rear axle, but I make my own 3an PTFE braided hoses for the fronts as my hardlines are all custom. Usually I take apart my fronts and re make them with fresh hose and olives after every season. About $10 in material...

I have replaced my rear axle to body hose once in 4 years, but haven't touched the axle to caliper hoses yet. My thought process being there is a lot less pressure, movement, and debris spray back there. I think I'll replace them after this season and retire the current ones as spares.

I don't worry as much about the stainless lines as I do the hard lines that were installed by the factory.

What? Any specific line? Was it rusted or fatigued or something?
