    They are very determined to keep CVAR pre 1972 (pre 1980 for some formula cars). There have been some proposals to bring in some newer cars as a guest group. That didn't work. Many said "If you want a car like that, go run NASA." Some in their club don't think highly of NASA's rules or licensing procedures. There are some CVAR racers that have run NASA and liked it. It's just a different organization with different goals.
