My dust collector has had a dirt track single pass rad for many years. 27.5x19, if i recall. added steam tube bung and also drain bung. makes flushing easy.
hodge podge of hoses using Jags That Run reducers/connectors.
AN fittings & bungs look nice and are easy

lower hose half from WP - stock LT1
lower hose half to rad - '95 Vette ( think)
jags that run reducer to connect these

upper hose half to WP - stock LT1
upper hose half from rad - '95 5.0 (I think) just need a proper 90 deg one here.
    jags that run connector

the odd part is the stock rad lower out is not 1 3/4 while the dirt rad will be. '95 vette was 1 3/4.
stock rad t-stat housing is not 1.5 either, IIRC

a triple pass will be the bees' knees

Would I be correct to say that a double pass would have inlet and outlet on the same side and triple on opposing sides?

Yes. That is why i went with the triple. There was not any real price difference.
