    Phil's Tire

If you need tires and you use Phil's I would get them ordered today. I noticed my order had not come in so I called and left a message for Kim. She texted me at 11:30 last night and said they were running behind but that my order will ship today and will be at my shop on Monday. If anyone need to have tires dropped closer to the track (COTA) you are welcome to have them shipped to my shop. 223 Tradesmen Drive Hutto, TX 78634 512-759-10 twenty six. You could pick them up as late as 3:30 on Friday prior to the race.

In case anybody hasn't ordered yet...Shipping is more expensive but last time I was on there TireRack was showing next day delivery to Houston from their La warehouse.

Do any of you pay for heat cycling? I have tried it both ways. Not sure I can tell the difference in tire life. Kim says I should.

I tried it on this set. For $1k/set if it gets another 4HC of useful life it's worth it.

Phil's tire told me that doing a heat cycle session on the track then let them sit overnight is the best way.

Tire rack seems to have an elaborate service.

I read they need to sit a minimum of 24 hours. If you run the last session on Friday then run them on Sat. for qual I don't think that is 24 hours. Maybe 20 hours is close enough.

My last three sets have been scrubbed in track weeks on track weeks in advance,I did my cota set at tws a couple weekends ago.

I'd agree with you if I had to get it done Friday if, may be better to pay for it.

i run a gentle cycle on practice sar morning then run them the rest of the weekend. seems to be no diff from heat cycling the day prior. The RA1's were more sensitive to it but not RR's as long as first heat cycle is gentle and u pull in after they feel greasy.
