SN95 gas tank

So what can be done if it is impossible to buy an OEM tank or a stock equivalent tank?
I have run three different aftermarket tanks over the last 10 years and all of them start to fuel starve after using about 6 gallons. Straight out of the box with a good baffle and new pump and filter. The last few years at Hallett I have even completely warmed my car up in the pits and then topped off the tank before heading to grid because I know it might start to cough in the last lap or two of the final 30 minute race.


I am concerned during the longer race at COTA that my current tank situation would hose me during the end of the race.
I have looked everywhere and cannot find a SN95 specific fuel tank. Everything aftermarket says 87-95 or newer.

I didn’t know the original tanks were good down to almost empty. If that’s the case then yeah enforcement is difficult at best lol.

Update:
I got a junkyard gas tank for $35 and spent about an hour trying to get it fully cleaned out. It had some sediment and gunk in it which concerned me and I still need to slosh a few more gallons through it for it to fully be cleaned.
I started to pull my tank and did notice when I pulled the fuel pump out that the strainer had fallen off. I'm going to try putting a new strainer on for COTA and run the old tank to see if that at least improves my pickup issues. If I can get the 94/95 tank clean, I'll put it in before Hallett.

I would dump a heavy dose of techron AND a solvent based fuel cleaner in there before friday practice and bring some extra fuel filters.

I was blown away buy how much crap my 93 tank shed and for how long.
