Maybe the switch position could be documented in the remarks on the dyno sheet? IDK. Seems silly but then again, while I have read all of the rules and most of them make sense, I havent been in your guy's shoes and witnessed and experienced all the cheats.

Annotating that on the dyno sheet would be great, except that it can be flipped during the race and put back after the checker. Not saying you would and nobody is gonna bug you about it when you're starting out, but it is something to keep in mind when you start finding some speed.

The driver can break the continuity to the sensor by opening the switch. The PCM will then richen the mixture for starting and allow for easier warm starts. Then after the engine is started, close the switch and the PCM will now read the temp sensor properly. Maybe not applicable to you, but hope it helps.
Ask David (#39 Fbody383) or Sean (#15 Stormtrooper) what happened when the
temp sender in the water pump developed an intermittent open at MSRH. The computer
    was baffled.

Other than Crumpacker having a cheater engine that makes 267 everyone was spot on. I pulled pretty much the same numbers I did a year ago and averaged at 259.

    I pulled 259.7 average with a 52mm restrictor on the ol' 5.0.

All I can attribute it to is an excellent engine builder. The dyno operators make me sign more forms than everyone else when it goes on the dyno though.

Build em loose and fast! I've built around 15 motors now, none have made that sound except that one, at least it runs good!
Fun Fact, I had City Motor Supply recondition stock rods and put ARP bolts in them, got em back to build the motor and the OE big ends were within .0003 of spec, the remans were .002 over/under, they wouldn't have lasted more than a few mins if I put them in w/o checking.
Fortunately I had that extra set of OE rods, that's what's in the motor now, with stock rod bolts even.
