I’m out. The car has a serious hot start issue.

I drove to get fresh gas with no issue. Get back home and park it in the driveway. I had to wait a while for the car to start so I could pull it back into the garage. Once in the garage it failed to start again. F me.

Not sure what platform you are running, but on my car and I've seen this on other cars too....the Engine Temp Sensor wiring is rerouted to a switch on the dash. The driver can break the continuity to the sensor by opening the switch. The PCM will then richen the mixture for starting and allow for easier warm starts. Then after the engine is started, close the switch and the PCM will now read the temp sensor properly. Maybe not applicable to you, but hope it helps.

This is cool. You can also switch it on the dyno to dump a few horsepower.

Might want to be careful with switches on the dash that could be used to affect power even if there is no ill intent...

Maybe the switch position could be documented in the remarks on the dyno sheet? IDK. Seems silly but then again, while I have read all of the rules and most of them make sense, I havent been in your guy's shoes and witnessed and experienced all the cheats.

Annotating that on the dyno sheet would be great, except that it can be flipped during the race and put back after the checker. Not saying you would and nobody is gonna bug you about it when you're starting out, but it is something to keep in mind when you start finding some speed.

Ask David (#39 Fbody383) or Sean (#15 Stormtrooper) what happened when the
temp sender in the water pump developed an intermittent open at MSRH. The computer
    was baffled.
