    2019 Sway Bar Rules

I was looking at sway bar rules today and noticed that the 93 and 94 Mustangs have different tables. There is a note that says a 93 can modify the front sway bar mount to the 94 style.

Does a 93 with the 94 mounts have to comply with the 93 or the 94 lines?

    Section 6.33.13 2019 CMC Rules.

6.33.13 The sway bar(s) may be removed or any solid or hollow sway bar(s) that matches the OEM
profile/contour and uses OEM bayonet style end links (i.e. a direct bolt in) and has an OD no bigger
than as listed below may be used.

Car Front Sway Bar Max OD Rear Sway Bar Max OD
    1982-1992 Early GM 36mm 24mm
    1993-2002 Late GM 35mm 21mm
    1979-1993 Ford 33mm 27mm
    1994-2004 Ford 30mm 27mm

    * Note: 1979-1993 Fords may modify the front sway bar mount to enable use of 1994-2004 sway
    bars.

I have never thought specifically about that question but I would think that if a 79-93 were running a bar from that year range, they could go up to the 33 mm limit. If running a bar from a 94-04, would need to stay below the 30mm limit.

If that's the case then we need to reword it because to me the bar size applies to the year of the car and not the bar style which begs the question why bother running a newer sway on a fox?

The SN95 sway bars are the correct width when you run the longer SN95 arms. You can run the narrower Fox sway bar but it puts the end links in a bit of a bind. Also, many of the factory SN95 sway bars are hollow. The sway bar I'm currently running is 7.5 pounds. The factory Fox was 21 pounds...
