    Quiet down you!
There is no such thing as brand loyalty in diesel Engines. Ford hates Navistar/International as much as me right now. They are sorting it out in court.

Steve Mulder has a several duramax diesels all of which have eaten injectors and pumps over the last few years.

He currently has an 03 D-Max in a big truck rated at 20K and carries 16K fully loaded with CO2. It has 110K miles on it.

2 weeks ago he shelled out $4K for the 3rd set of injectors and a new pump. I talked with him today and he said the #2 injector failed, filled the motor with fuel and lunched it.

He bought a 6 cyl ISUZU cab-over 10 years ago and it's still going like a top.

Bosch system doesn't like the crappy GM filter is all.
Duramax owners in the know purchase and install a real filter.

I looked at his car, its not that bad. I've offered to tow it to the shop that repaired my front frame damage - TWICE. He hasn't jumped on the chance. I think he's afraid to get back on that horse and ride.
