Since wiring is permitted to be removed/moved/changed, using a harness to adapt the SN95 loom to the A9L is fine. However, if there is any adjustability built into that harness - meaning, changing the MAF voltage, o2 sensor voltage, etc - it's not permitted.

The Painless harness is allowed, as it's a direct replacement item with no provisions to adjust various engine parmeters. Loom it, hook it up, and run.

However, it's not hard to repin the plug to communicate properly with the A9L. As much as I hate to say this....try searching www.corral.net. At one time, they had some decent DIY articles.

So....will you make it to the event this weekend???

    corral.net?? oh no, not that!

I'll dig through, and try to find something.

as for this weekend, it's looking less likely every day. I'm really bummed, but that's just how it's working out.

    Marshall,

When I installed a Painless on my car, I was surprised how much weight it dropped. I removed every wire in the car and started over. Granted at the same time I pulled the stock dash and a couple of other items. It all added up to a nice weight savings.

    David,
No doubt. I got a pretty good pile of crap last time I went wire diving.

I'm really looking forward to seeing your car this weekend. I just wish I could be out there with you guys...

I'll have to enjoy from the pit wall!!

    See you guys Saturday morning.
