    Not true - I missed the 4 to 5 shift on the front straight at TWS and got 4 to 3 instead. Bet that got more revs than your motor. :shock:

    I lost a bottom end in november 06 doing something similar... coming out of turn 4 at Houston went for 3rd and got 1st....something like 9250rpm.... ooopps! ops:

    I have a reliable source that rumors of a new Camaro being prepped for AI out in San Diego could be true. Corey Weber (Agent 47) supposedly is getting (or has gotten) a body in white for development purposes. It more than likely will be the V6 version to get the weight break. It still makes 300hp stock ...

    But it only makes like 275 ftlb of torque - 6-speed aside, isn't that going to be a disadvantage against my car (300/320) given equal weights?

    Only if it is left stock. If they can get the weight down to 2500 lbs with driver, it already makes the maximum RWT (278 calculated) and 263 RWHP.

    Not so disadvantageous if it puts lots of fiber in its diet (carbon that is).

    Remember, no minimum weight on 4 and 6 cyl cars.
