Holy cow, I leave and this thread is on page 2 and now we are at page 10.
It was an incredible event, facility, racing, drinking, etc.

What he said... Great place, wish we had something this nice back home!!
Went into t1 in second.... Exited in 10th... Got hosed but the video of the first five laps is incredible!!!!!
Given a fourth of the ai field was a pro or shop car... I think I did pretty damn good.
Ah, fugg it.
They panned onto the AIX field right as that happened, I burst out in anger yelling at my lap top... @$%!IT SHOW THE GOOD STUFF, WHERE THE %$*# IS MATT, $#*#)$**( SHOW THE %*$#) RACE, WHERE THE @*&%$( IS MATT? I think my neighbors were wondering who Matt was... at least those that speak engrish... I was glad I got to see 6 clean laps from the AIX boys.. :roll:Originally Posted by AI#97
I was damn happy when I got to timing and scoring and you were in 4th or 5th... about the time they got back to the AI field... I can't wait to see the video!
Well done Matt! It was one hell of a race!

I would just like to say, that even though it's not 1st place like he was wanting, i think my daddy did an awesome job!! Never been to nationals before and still takes a podium finish, 1st or 3rd, makes no difference to us,....we're all very proud of you Dad....you took a podium finish on your 1st year ever @ nationals and the trophy still stayed in TX!!! There's always next year!! Love ya dad!!

Yep - Lindsey's ECM stayed in the motorhome Saturday night. They offered it to Todd, and he took them up on their offer. He returned it to them around 7:30am Sunday.Originally Posted by BlueFirePony
FWIW, Al, Todd and I spent about ~45 or so minutes inspecting PL's Mustang in his garage. Funny thing, too....when we got there, not a soul was around. Within ~10min, his crew chief, crew members, and PL showed up - all very friendly, showing/explaining various aspects of his hooptie. We continued to inspect (both Todd and Al spent time on their backs, under the car while I was checking out the inside and engine compartment). Within another ~20min, the garage had another 10 spectators watching what was going on.
It was unfortunate Lindsey dropped so far back during the AI race, but big kudos to MFW for his podium finish.
I dunno about anyone else, but we had a great time. It was a great weekend of racing.
If you can, check out the Spec944 race. We watched the entire thing from the tower, and it was a nail biter from start to finish. They put on one hell of a show.
