It wouldn't hurt my feelings if it stayed dry next month!

Hey, that my first race weekend! ;-)
Yes it was and yes they do... I made a run for the hay bales during my first hot lap in Q2, left the track with my tail tucked and an extra 50lbs of mud on the car. I think a black/red new edge mustang found the hay bales the next lap, no names.

That was a fun weekend - I was pretty good everywhere except T10 and T11 - kept thinking I could put the power down sooner than I should.
I think I have video somewhere of me doing a 720 coming out of T10 right down the middle of the track and then off at T11, spinning through the mud and coming out to continue...the entire underside of the car was pancaked in mud as I found out later, but no black flag so I continued.
Came back around T10 next lap and I repeated the 720 but this time I managed to get it under control just before T11 and wound up pointing in the right direction going into T11, stayed on the track and continued.
For an encore later on I spun on the front straight, got stuck facing the hill and inched my way back out...I think I saw the spectators do the wave a couple of times
So 2 official offs, but no tow no foul ? Muddy mess but it was fun.
Honed my instructing skillz by watching this video over & over.

*side note - over the weekend I instructed in some cool cars - heavily modded GTR (on Hoosiers) & a ZR1 with only 800mi on the clock. I almost crapped my pants when the GTR hit 165 on the front strait (CW) then threw the 4000lb car across the transition and into T15 ... WHILE threshold braking --- thank you Nissan engineers for saving my life. Needless to say, we had some bad habits to break.
