    dyno: Colvin Automotive, Austin
    date: 19-Jan-2012
    Car: #29 Camaro
    Class: AI
    Engine: LT1
    Restrictor: 42mm
    HP: 370
    Tq: 365

Last season I dyno'd 360/360 with a 38mm plate. Shooting for 375 this year so I swapped to a 42mm plate, made a small change to the tune and dyno'd 355 at ProTech last weekend. HP went the wrong way and the AFR was doing some wacky things...no bueno on the tuning change. No time to fix it though so I just got my annual done (Thanks Kyle!) and put it back on the trailer. Tried a different approach in the tune, went to Colvin today and pulled 370/365 with exactly the AFR I was looking for. Started to try a 44mm plate but not while paying hourly dyno rates. It's close enough...I'll just yank some ballast and call it done. No fun paying for two dynos but it's done now, I learned some stuff, and made sure the tune is safe to go out and beat on.

First set of pulls was 262hp unrestricted. Back on the rollers later w/ 47mm plate to take the edge off, 270hp, but the water temp was low. Got it up in the temp range, three more pulls, 269hp (same 47mm plate). Hmmm. Lets try a 43mm plate, maybe it will keep gaining hp and I'll go run AI.

I have long tubes which are going to be replaced sometime before TWS. It's going to be a fun battle for Rookie of the Year.
