It's effective Feb 1, but we could all agree to run RA1's. If not, I'll get RR's for race only and practice on RA1's.

The National rule says we can run the RR's from the start of the season, I have 3 sets of RA1's left over, but if I can use the RR's then that's what I'm going to do. If everyone makes an agreement to run the RA1's for the first race, then I will agree to that, but it needs to be set in stone with everyone in AI. Let me know? Does anyone know of any new AI guy's, they will need to know also.

This thread is about AI, not CMC.

I intend to run RR's at Houston, if I receive them by then.
If you guys choose to not run them, I can run my worn out RA1's.

I thought the rules trumped the marketing announcement and since the rules didn't specify a "go live" date for RRs, you can use either tire starting Jan 1st? Marshall - can you help clarify?

If we're voting, I'd strongly prefer an agreement to all use RA1's for Houston but I know that would suck for a few guys who've already sold their RA1's or had the foresight to use up what they had last year.

AI rules trump the NASA announcement. So, legally, someone could show up with RR's at MSR-H and be completely legal. Looks like the majority still has some RA1's to burn up and I'd love to have a gentlemen's agreement that we'll use RA1's at MSR-H and then switch to RR's at MSR-C (if you have the cash)...

I'll be on RR's by Cresson, just for reference.

CMC rules are different language than AI, which is what Mark was discussing. I don't think CMC is on RR's at Houston... Glenn can confirm.

I meant to say effective Jan 1 per the AI rules (I'm still having problems with which month comes first), otherwise my question makes no sense.

I’m in for an agreement to run RA1’s.
