    So as long as you are using Nomex thread there is no big deal in sewing through the suit? I was not sure if you had to use a particular technique or something. AKA some how miraculously not go all the way through.

    Nomex thread so it doesn't burn. Ideally the patch would only be attached to the outer later to avoid the pinhole penetration in the suit. I'm guessing most of us have been sewn through all the layers. Mine, at least, are attached with Nomex.

    I went through all the layers on my suit with nomex thread. It just looks like a blind person sewed it...
