got sent up here yesterday for the ice storm. man is it a cold bitch here today. the high was 40 so far. lots of ice in the southeast part of Tulsa.

It's in the 70's here in the Austin area. It's a good thing your doing; taking care of these people who got screwed up by this Global warming deal.


All kidding aside I've always thought highly of the power and phone guys who have to work in those conditions to get it all turned back on. When we had the last ice storm (ten years or so ago) it was spooky hearing the trees breaking. We had no power for four days and since I had a wood stove my mom and dad stayed at our house. We cooked and kept warm by keeping that Vermont Casting stove stoked up to the max. I had a battery out of my bass boat hooked up to a 12" TV so we were warn, had plenty to eat and even had TV. We were way better off than most.

Glenn, I didn't know you were in the telecommunications industry. I thought you were sent up there as a hot air consultant to help thaw the ice! :wink:

You must be exhausted. Those are some serious hours and I'm sure the locals who were affected by the ice storm appreciate your hard work. :D

I slept at truck stop in Okla City Thursday night and got to Tulsa Wed. morning... Back home last night @ 10...
