... with a sawzall ...

A guy at "parmer and a. mill" has an F-Car he is parting out.

I want the roof, but it's not worth the 6 hour drive to get it. I thought if one of you Austinites were close, had a few spare minutes and were coming to the banquet, I might offer you a 6 pack of homebrew for your trouble.

If you can't that's fine ... nothing ventured, nothing gained, eh?

is this the black '95 'bird?
I looked at it last night....
car has no title. I've already got dibs on the front fenders & bumper cover.... unless he sells the car to some guy in DFW
would that be you?

If it works out I'd be going over there this weekend to get those parts. could zip off the roof if you want it. would need to hookup w/ DD, CR or others that might be planning on driving a pickup to the banquet. I was not planning on driving the burb gas hog up there.

then again I still need a hood and could use to pick up one of those cheap windshields in DFW (what was that contact info again?).

I have the info at home.
Warehouse is in Haltom City near me.
I will get the info to ya tonite.
I can pickup the glass for ya.
Also, get ahold of Jeff Wirtz.
The last time I got a windshield from them they mixed my name up with his.
So, they have a warehouse down that way aswell.

Here is the thread ... same car?

http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/showthread.php?t=567712

He says he wants to salvage the windshield. I told him good luck with that.
He wants $40 for the roof.

If this works out, cut it to give a little A pillar and C pillar to graft to.

yes, same car.
shame to cut it up. looks pretty solid although sans drivetrain, rear end & minor sideswipe wrinkle in RR quarter. was 6-spd so still has pedal assembly.
Unless it was just about free I just don't have space to store it or I'd try to get it.

Yes, there are several cheap rollers for sale.

The problem is getting a decent drive train at a reasonable price. One could easily have $4K in a $200 roller, just sourcing a decent motor, ECU/wiring, clutch, trans, DS and rear diff.

Morgan, I just thought about this ....

I have a red hood. You get the roof and the hood is yours.

The hood isn't perfect. It was damaged in shipment. The tips on the trailing edge of the hood were slightly bent down ... maybe 10* ...maybe a little more.

But other than that, it's a good hood. Paint is in good shape.

I'll try to get the roof but he still doesn't want to cut it out

from this morning:

Yeah im going to part it out this weekend.
As far as the roof i want to the glass to stay in one peice. Cutting the rough out would result into glass shards everywhere.

I'll take my windshield tools and see if we can get it out.
odd thing is his roommate OWNES one of those mobile auto windshield R&R companies. Surely they could get it out better than I w/o breakage...
