Need somewhere between 70 and 100lbs of lead. Smiley's in Sherman has two 50lb bricks but I can't get up there any time soon and the one in Mesquite is out. Went to a few scrap yards and all they have are roof flashings that would need to be melted down.
anybody got some I can borrow/buy?!
Thanks!

I have a 65# block that Donovan & Irwin have both borrowed at Nats that I can bring.
Glenn also seems to have an endless supply of ballast.

That would rock! I am also trying to source some forklift plates too. Backup plans would be good. Just let me know your beer preference!

Shiner Bock.
Bring a drill w/ 1/2 bit...you'll have to drill two holes in your floor to install it.

So the Focus can transport ballast but the Camaro can't?
Must be an F-body thing.

its ballast or all the things i need for 3 days out of town. the ballast looses out.
add to that 1.5" drop and 315's in the rear and it aint happening.

3 days out of town (check)
Focus 1.5 inch drop (check)
Focus 215 rear tires (check)
Still not seeing an issue with Focus vs. Camaro.
(Just givin' you a hard time...I totally understand.)

Well, Glenn could put 300lbs of ballast in his car if he just left his head at home!
Glenn, I thought you were a Marine and could get by for a week on 1 sheet of toilet paper? What the hell can you not fit into a camaro and only be gone for 3 days?!
Sheesh!

I have seen the Super Focus in action against a Mustang...
Watching Todd run Light to Light and winning $100 in the focus was priceless.
I will put my money on the Focus!

There is a pretty good joke to go along with that but it's visual. Ask me about it this weekend!

Are you implying that we would stand around you now?! :P
I am on a roll!!!!!
Glenn, thanks for the offer, but I won't be down on that side of town before I leave friday. Is Mitch coming to Houston and could the plates make it FOB with him? I realize I am asking a lot but I would buy that plate from you!
Thanks!

I have 2, 1" plates you can have.
They're 7 by 11 inches or so.
Elevator weight.
22#'s each.
Fairly soft steel.
Will need a good bit and maybe a press though.

Jeff, that would be awesome! I have a really good set of bits, a good drill and I am fat so there is your press!!!
If you are headed to Houston and bring those with you, there is a 12 pack of coors light in it for you as a start!
Lets see, that's a 12'r of Coors light, a 12'r of Shiner... Damn, if I keep this up I will just get you all drunk and beat you with hangovers!! :D

If you stack them, the bit being plumb is important as well as hole spacing.
Sure thing.
Banquet beers if they have 'em.
See ya.
