MSR-H 2007 vs 2008 car count - wow, a nice jump!

we always talk about series growth and how good it is to see new drivers come in and an increase in car counts.
last year at MSR-H for R1 we had:
AI 4
AIX 2
CMC 6
CMC2 0
total 12

for 2008:
AI 7
AIX 2
CMC 10
CMC2 3
total 22

the highest single event car count of 2007 was 19 at MSR-C. we have already surpased that w/ our opening event. i fully expect to have a 25 car field at MSR-C and i'm hoping for a 30 car field.

and w/ the RM region guys swooping down for Hallett, thats gonna be a major event. i gotta say guys, this year is shaping up as one to remember.

Great job with the car count everyone.
I think there are a ton of reasons for it, but like I've said before...car counts are cyclical...this year's current crop will hopefully be around for many years, but unfortunately the truth of the matter will be that people come and people go.

If you're new starting out in roadracing, remember to keep your head and don't burn out too quickly. It's a great sport with a ton of great people. The key to long term success is to not spend excessively, not take things too seriously and not drive over your head. If everyone can heed those words, we'll have 40 car fields and great parties for years to come!!!
