I just read the 2008.10 version of the CCR's and have he following question regarding the expiration of seat belts:

Per the CCR. 15.5(10) "...shall bear a dated label no more than two (2) years old."

I have a set of belts in my car that are puched with April 2006.

The way I interpret the ruling, the belts expire on the first day of the 25th month since in my case, April 2008 is not more than two years apart from April 2006. So they technically expire on the first day of May '08, right?

This thinking is not unlike your inspection or registration on a road car.

Thoughts??

The only reason I ask is I got "thumped" in Feb. '06 at MSR-H with a set of belts stamped Feb. '04. Jonathon Hernandez said that they were already expired. It was written in my book so I had to hurry and get a set for the March race to be legal.

Just a CYA....
