after my last engine disaster, i'll never install another motor w/ out spinning the oil pump first. so i'm looking for an old distributor thats junk that i can cut up to use as an oil pump priming tool. one of the tools made for this will not work in a 4th gen (in case i have to do it in the car) so i'll have to fab something up.
if you have one, bring it to MSR-C w/ you or mail it to me and i'll pay you back the shipping.
i dont think there is any difference in chevy distributors ass all the years that used them, used the same one....... i think. anything from early 60's to late 90's should work. all i need is the base, no electronics or cap needed.

Does this mean the car won't be ready in time for this weekend?

I think mine is for a ford. It's just a pushrod welded to the bottom piece of a distributor.

unlike yourself Todd, i can fix a car 3 times in 2 weeks, unlike your 1 time in 4 -5 months and counting.
