Three weeks is the best delivery I have been able to find. Anyone have an extra one in the garage? Inside rear tire was spinning like crazy at TWS.

Ford 8.8 31 spline.

where have you found the best prices, out of curiosity?

Try Randy's Ring and Pinion on the net...don't know if they carry the Torsen but I got my Eaton HD from them a long time ago and they had great service and THE best price on the web...Period. They also STOCK rebuild parts for nearly everything. Give them a try and post up what you find!

Randy's did offer good C/S but do not sell Torsen T2R's.

As usual Michael Mosty came through for me (THANKS MICHAEL). I ordered it from Reider Racing. The have an order that they expect to receive on Wed. of this week. I sould have it a few days after that.

Michael also negotiated a $650.00 with free shipping price for me.

Thanks again Michael!

Ford 8.8 31 spline.

Why do so many of the CMC guys think they need 31 spline stuff??? Talk about overkill...

I was more on board with the thought that CMC cars could get away with the Ford 7.5 and save some weight.

I run the 28 spline with a Ford Traction Lock with "Action Pack" clutch stack. No reliability problems to speak of except the need for periodic rebuilds of the diff.

Maybe Jerry's car is a throwback to when the previous owner was a drag racer.

31 spline is what was in it when I purchased it.

Yeah, I still run STOCK 28sp stuff in mine....

also, why is it that no one is getting Eatons? I have had mine in the car for OVER 5 years and it is still rock solid... only cost $350 too!

Guess I should try a Torsen some time and see if I like it....

8.8" 28 spline here too. Ford Track-Lok rebuilt every year and a half or so.

I guess the 7.5" would fail under a standing start and not under track load??

We have another Fox roller that I can weight (7.5" rear), just for fun.

My reason is that there is an on and off again wait of multiple weeks for the T2R. When I bought mine, it was wait 3 weeks or upgrade to 31 spline and get it now. I'm only speaking for myself but the lack of patience and waiting till the last minute was my reasoning.
