Thanks to some prodding & poking from Chris & Adam, Hart Photog connected back up with me. Here's the deal. Revenue/purchases from our group (and NASA as a whole) have really been down. It's getting to the point where it's not worthwhile for Blair to cover our events. At MSRC, only 1 person bought pics which barely puts gas in the Hart Photog 4-wheeler.

So...I've always said...support the folks that support us at the track. Blair has all the pics, but has been hesitant to post them all if there is no interest in purchasing them. (A lot of time & energy went into that lunchtime session....both on the photographer side and the racer's side!!!)

So here's the deal....

Hart Photog has 1344 images of the AI/CMC sessions. We had ~20 entrants, that's an average of 67+ images/entrant. (assumes all 20 entrants were out in all the run sessions/races, and ran the maximum amount of time/completed every lap.)

There are ALSO 178 images from the 'group session' at lunch where racing action was staged. (That's freakin' awesome!)

We could do a group purchase and get all of these photos. Hart Photog can put an archive file of every Group Three image (ALL 1522) on the website for download. The archive file will be full resolution (from a Canon EOS 30D). He'll password protect the subdirectory for anyone with access.

All this for the one time group purchase price of $300 plus tax paid. That's less than $0.20 per image, or ~$15 per person for everything. (Basically the same as if 5 people bought CD's at the track.)

So...are you guys willing to do this? If so, I propose that Chris "WTF" Lyons collect the funds ($15/each). Once he has obtained the necessary $300, we can do the group purchase with Hart Photog and provide the access to those who paid for full resolution 4 wide AI/CMC racing pics with YOUR CAR at the head of the pack!!! Talk about a PC background or screensaver!

Let me know what you guys think.

As for the pictures for MM, I sent them 20+ High res photos of the car in Action at the mid america Hallet event last year. Don't know what he is talking about having never gotten them... the other issue I have with their contingency is the HUGE sticker requirement on the front fender...it won't fit on 99+ cars but they let it slide last year because they paid me... :roll: Oh well, guess it just costs more to get into magazines. :roll:

Make sure you read up on photography copyright before doing this... or get a full rights release from hart for the photo you plan on using... could be a very expensive mistake...
If you do want some great photos of your car for a Magazine shot, let me know... I won't charge more than a case of beer...
