I can't believe there's a track in Texas that I never heard of. I spoke to someone today that ran out there and loved it.
Looks to be more of a retreat and driver school and hasn't gone public just yet. Word I heard was that once you become a student/alumni, you can use the track when it's available as a "member of the club".

Anyone BTDT?

It was in the Austin paper six or eight months ago. If I remember just like Harris Hill Road......no racing.
I hope that changes. Track in my backyard.....coooool!

Its been around for a few years, they have just recently started expanding it though... or are trying to expand it.

I have not been there but have seen it from the aerial photos.

I don't know all the facts, but I was told it was permited as a driveway by Mark McKenzie the owner of Ranger Excavation (He use to run a silver Ferrari with us back in 2004/2005).

Later it was bought by Bill Dollahite and converted to a club style track.

The original(current) layout is less than a mile... the new layout is 2.0 miles.

I don't know much else about it... The latest aerial data I have is 10 months old, and as of then the new layout construction had not started yet.

Some is paved out there. I know the local autoX club has run a few events out there. I need to go check it out some day. If nothing else it could become my test track.

You need to go look at Harris Hill... Wow! That is my test track...

I am headed out there Thursday or Friday to test the new tranny before TWS.

I am going to run some video so you guys can see it.

It would be the Friday before the race... Aug 1st I think...

I would like to get out there sooner, but I have a lot to finish up on the car for TWS... new tranny, new starter, new radiator, flush all fluids... new SLA if I have time... :D

I just need to make the time... I will be thrashing all weekend and anytime next week if I can stay in town, I have been out of town 7 of the last 10 days.

It is on the final approach to the Austin Airport. I drool over it everytime I fly.
It is narrow and small, more of an autox venue, but like Dave said, the new owner Bill is working on changing that!!!!
The place is called the driveway, because that is how the first owner snuck it past the city codes.
Loophole:
What my driveway cant be connected and curvy????
A place after my own heart for sure.
I am interested in doing the school if anyone else wants to join me??
Lets figure out how much etc
