View Full Version : CMC "2" Designation

In the past, it was determined to be a good idea to put the number "2" on the front and rear glass of all the CMC2 cars so it was easy to tell on track if you were racing a car in class. I see no mention of this in the current rules.

Are we still going to do this??? It seems important to me and really only works if everyone in "2" does it.

I've never done it and haven't made plans to.

But there were only three of you last year and I'm going to refrain from the standard old age and limited memory joke.

Can we at least have a list of who is registered for -2? I think that should be sufficient. I know some people like JP were waffling.

Yep... Still waffling some, but basically I am thinking 2 as long as there are enough cars. I have both dyno's.

But.....CMC should be awesome this year with all the cars that are planned, so I still keep waffling.

BTW.. I a don't plans on any 2 designation on the windows, and might just have taped 2's on the sides for this weekend.

I say we see how it goes. If we feel its confusing, we can use tape temporarily.

How about I hold up a finger for you?

OK, how about this. I'm going to put a "2" on the windshield and the back glass of the #82 CMC2 car. Anyone else in "2" is welcome to do the same...

How 'bout CMC Vintage puts a "1" or a "V" on THEIR windshields?

That's a lot easier to do that using electrician's tape to try and form a "2". 8)

I'd be cool with everyone in CMC putting either a 1 or 2 on their windshield.

I'd also be cool with supplying proper "2"'s for the field if it would make things easier. No silly tape needed...

I'm with Burch. I'm runnin' everyone down that I can - regardless of class. Car Classification that is - I don't care if the driver has any class or not. Just ask the CMC2 crowd about the race at Eagle's Canyon last year, there were cars sliding and photographers running. What a blast!

OK, I got a bunch of "2"s made up. Anyone who wants a pair (except for Mitch) can have them. I can even install them for you if you want...

I liked the idea of the deuce on the windshield at Nats a few years back and I still like the idea.

Easy for the tower to see.

Easy for red-mist-Liebbe-drivers to spot.

Separates the boys from the other boys.

as Todd said, the idea originated from Nats 2007. there it was an issue as you may have known who was who in the divers meeting, but you had no idea what their car looked like. locally, that should not be an issue. if it is, it shouldnt be for more than a day.

but have at it guys.

Don't make me strap on that helmet and jump into that driving suit to kick yo' ass, 'cause I will. Last thing you need Liebbe is both VAR and VINI beatin' yo' butt on the track.
