The 5.4 Lightning motors in 2001 would launch the spark plugs because they only had two or three threads in them. Prior to 01 they had about 1/2" of threads. I sold my V10 Ford engined motorhome because I was afraid it would launch a plug. The V10 had the same issue as the 01 Lightning.
