Did anyone else see this???

++++++++++++++++++++
CCR 2009.6 (revised 3/23/09)

15.18 Lug Nuts - All competition vehicles must use open type wheel lug nuts with enough threads exposed to be able to double nut each of the wheel studs with a minimum of 4.5 threads exposed. If aircraft style lock nuts are employed a minimum of 4.5 threads must be exposed and the requirement for double nutting is waived.

I actually did read this one and wasn't too happy... I'm ok with steel rims but need longer ones for the GTAs... reminder: buy new studs before next event

thats a non-standard requirement.
1 diameter of the stud should extend past the threaded portion of the nut. this is an ANSI bolt standard in aviation. i have the book somewhere.

I stopped paying attention rules after compression-gate. Toyo-gate got me going because that was easy to spot, but nut-gate was small potatoes.

Better luck next year ...

Is your tag line taken from Chester? That story is funny as hell. It might be worth reposting for some comic relief at this point. Things have been too serious.
