An uneventful trip ... thank God. Glenn and I met Mike in Las Cruces and Jeremy came over to watch.

I'll let Mike fill in the pedigree, but the new Texas CMC2 #6 is home.

Left my house at about 0730 Friday, swung by Mr. March's house and arrived in Las Cruces around 1800 CST.

Rookie arrived about 15 minutes later and Mike another 1/2 hour later.

It took all 4 of us aboput an hour to transfer everything from Mike's rig to mine.

Dinner at Hooters where the rookie and I stayed sober.

With Mike and Glenn still debating the quality of the photos of the girl at the next table, I fell alseep somewhere around 1AM. I'm too old for this ...

0800 the next morning I roust everyone out of bed and head to Denny's for breakfast.

I immediately introduce Mr. March as ... Mr. March. Shirley, the waitress seemed quite impressed and enamored with Glenn and his scruffy head. Probably a good thing we had to leave ...

Left around 1100. Made a stop in Odessa and got Bud Light Boy a hood and then continued on. Dropped off Glenn at about 2130 and I got home around 2300.

Current plan is to have the #6 at Hallett.

Cool...Doesn't look like it will take much to get that one to the track.
Except... I do see a couple of extra wires that Glenn will have to strip that go to the tailights. :P

I am asking a serious question...will the rear downbars be legal as they are so far from the main hoop bends? Two piece dashbar?

Wish it were an AI car...

the "dash bar" or more properly called "knee bar" is not a required bar, so it will be fine.
the rear down bars accually seem to be rather common and legal for SCCA T2 cars of this era. the down side is we do not have the SCCA logbook, so its likely that these bars will be cut out and done to NASA requirements.

should be running in 10-12 days AFTER the TWS event.

Thanks for the hood. Now we are even on picking up hoods :D

Without the dimples in mine I should see a few mph less on the straight at TWS.

Good to see Law helping out the car count.

It was good to see you guys, gave me somebody to hang out with in this town who knows more than big motors and sand rails.
Thanks for the advice guys, just proves yet again that the ovals and bowties can get along.
Glenn, it was a nice view of the number 28 I think, it may have burned into my brain incorrectly.
Good luck on the car. Glenn and Mike, good luck on the job hunt.

In case anyone wants to know, I am selling all the LAW secrets now. $200 for 10 min of their conversation. Strategy for the enduro is double time.
