Looks like they had a record weekend...
Top Speeds...
# of runs...
"Big Red" was there...which is worth the price of admission in my book. That car is so awesome and a piece of automotive history in the ORR circles.

Looks like Streetfire.net is doing a great job.

Big Red and the people associated with it were way cool. I got a hat, t-shirt, and DVD from them. There will be a showing of the DVD in my trailer Friday night.

I remember watching Big Red on an old VHS video from the Silver State Classic back in '96. Reaching 200+ mph on some of the longer stretches was amazing (and still is).

Oh Big Red. The oringinal Pro Touring car that started a huge movement.

On a family vacation in Cali we went to Rodeo Drive and they were having a car show in Beverly Hills. So of course we wanted to see what it was like. Very different than any other show I had ever been too, but then I see Big Red. What a treat. Great stories to read about it at the Silver State. Simply amazing the speed it averaged so long ago. Organizers changed the course just so a 69 Camaro wouldn't hold the record anymore.

That is awesome that it was at the Texas Mile-what did it run?

I believe it ran a best speed of 204. However, they never made a pass at full song.

I would love to be able to sleep anywhere at TWS... guess I'll have time to get a new air mattress for Hallet.

Just the LOVE SHACK in name only... NOT the MAN-LOVE SHACK... "not that there is anything wrong with that" (Seinfeld)

Thanks DL, but I'm parenting; hate to miss it but I have a conflict with something my wife had planned.

Besides, I haven't found manly gears yet.

I'm sure the rest of the rookies will represent - nyah, nyah, nyah... you won't have the #39CMC car to pass all weekend...

This is the closest thing I've ever seen to Big Red.

This Dodge was one BAMF and we raced against it at one of the ORR's years ago.

230mph in a 69 road runner will need about 1200hp!!! That 50 gallon fuel cell is going to empty faster than you can fill it!!!!

Yeah, 'cause a 69 Camaro is so slippery...
